Background

This department focuses on sustainable land development disciplines such as pedology, land use, soil physics and conservation, soil chemistry, soil microbiology, soil fertility and management, as well as soil-related issues that support crop production. Research done here encompass soil and water management, soil acidity mitigation, use of organic and inorganic soil amendments, heavy metal and environment, effectiveness of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers, biological nitrogen fixation and phytohormone production, macro- and micronutrient demands, and precision agriculture.
