Rule 4: Aim and Objectives

1. The main objective of the society is to encourage the holistic approach to problems and to promote the progress and development of science and technology related to agricultural sciences through research and publication, and the outcome is to be for regional agricultural development. The Society is organized by scientists, technical experts, and other proponents of the Society's goals in the broad field of agricultural sciences, whose activities are within the Southeast Asian region.

2. The Society performs the following tasks in order to achieve these objectives, subject to written approval from relevant authorities:

   1. Publish publications and other materials;
   2. Organize lectures, seminars, workshops, training programs etc.;
   3. Provide contacts, training, promotion, and recommendation for research;
   4. Contact and cooperate among universities with an agricultural faculty internationally/regionally and domestically and with related societies and institutions;
   5. Conduct studies and develop research proposals, and;
   6. Perform any other activities needed to achieve any of the above objectives.
