About Us

ISSAAS is a non-profit international organization formed in 1994. ISSAAS aims at finding a holistic and integrated approach to problems faced by agricultural development in Southeast Asia. ISSAAS provides a platform to promote the progress and development of science and technology related to agricultural sciences through research and publication for regional agricultural development.

Regional secretariats are established in Japan as well as major Southeast Asian countries namely Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines to oversee the evaluation and accreditation of scientific work and to upgrade the quality of the scientists, allied researchers and technical experts within the region.

Research works and technical expertise within ISSAAS include:

• Conventional agricultural science including soil science, agronomy, horticulture, landscaping, plant pathology, entomology, crop protection, farming system, extension etc.
