Bachelor of
Agriculture (Animal Science) aims to produce
competent animal science graduates who are
able to apply the knowledge and skills
gained in planning, management and research
to improve quality and competitiveness of
the animal industry. The program will equip
the graduates with up-to-date knowledge and
skills in animal production science,
enabling them to work with public, corporate
and private agencies involved in service,
research, extension and education of
livestock production and management. They
shall also be able to carry out modern and
commercial livestock agro-industry
activities as an enterprise, or pursue
post-graduate studies. The curriculum covers
various disciplines in animal production
science and includes courses in management,
economics and agricultural marketing.
Students are also requires to undergo
industrial trainings and conduct a research
project in animal science.

Minimum Qualifications for STPM
Candidates
University General Requirements
A good pass in the Sijil Pelajaran
Malaysia (SPM) Examination or
equivalent
and credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa
Melayu July paper.
A pass
in the STPM Examination with the
minimum of:
-
Grade C (GP 2.00) in General
Paper, AND
-
Grade C (GP 2.00) in two (2)
other subjects, AND
Taken
the Malaysian University English
Test (MUET) with minimum of Band 1.

Matriculation / UM Science
Foundation Candidates
University General Requirements
-
A
good pass in the Sijil Pelajaran
Malaysia (SPM) examination or
its equivalent; AND
-
A
credit in the SPM Malays
Language paper or its
equivalent; AND
-
A
pass in the KPM Matriculation /
UM Science Foundation with at
least 2.00 PNGK; AND
-
Have
sat for the Malaysian University
English Test (MUET).
